In August 2022, Netflix greenlit The Witcher Season 4, and fans are asking all types of questions, whether it’s related to the production, post-production, or release date. Fandom is most curious. The turning point is that the script of the fourth installment didn’t get postponed due to the writers’ strike. Well, truth to be told, it won’t have happened since the writers’ strike began in May 2023, while the script was already done before that. However, the strikes might not have impacted the script writing, but the production for the fourth season is already suffering.
The Witcher season 4 filming was scheduled to begin in September 2023, although, with the current WGA- SAG strikes going on, the filming is pushed back to 2024. Hopefully, by that time, the strikes will get settled. So if The Witcher Season 4 filming will begin in 2024, then when can we expect to watch the series?

After reviewing the past release dates of The Witcher, we believe we won’t be receiving the next season before 2025. Since the production of this series is one of the biggest Netflix productions with all the requirements of visual effects, it takes an extended time.
We also believe that the upcoming series will be pushed to the second half of 2025 since the filming is also pushed back from September 2023 to 2024. On October 30, 2022, Henry officially announced his retirement from The Witcher, and Liam Hemsworth will be picking the sword of the White Wolf.

However, with the excitement of Liam from an Instagram post, “As a Witcher fan, I’m over the moon about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia. Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt, and I’m honored that he’s handing me the reins and allowing me to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure.”
