Season 2 starts with Poppy attending a gathering in honor of her childhood friend Micah Keith, who has already become a world-famous novelist thanks to her harrowing memoir. Micah grew up on the streets, and during that period, he befriended Poppy and her family.
Micah is close friends with Poppy’s sisters and her father, Shreve, while Poppy is acquainted with Micah’s spouse, Joshua. When Poppy’s husband Micah’s aide Ramon appears to despise her late spouse, she becomes suspicious she begins to constantly monitor.
When Ramon is also slain, the inquiry is turned upside down. Poppy suspects Micah and her friend Holt Redding are having an affair. The investigative podcaster then discovers that Micah and Holt met in prison, where they became close friends and established a group with a disturbed homeless artist named Rose.
