“Breakups suck, but single life doesn’t have to”
Uncoupled is a romantic-drama series that follows the life of Michael, who thought his life was perfect until his husband left him after 17 years of marriage. Now, he has to deal with two nightmares, losing who he thought was his true soulmate and finding himself a single gay man in his mid-forties in New York City.
The series is created by Darren Star, who is best known for creating Sex and the City and Emily in Paris, along with Jaffrey Richman, who has worked in Modern Family and Frasier. The executive producers are Tony Hernandez (Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, Younger) and Lilly Burns (Emily in Paris, Younger) of Jax Media along with Harris, Star, and Richman. The production is done by MTV Entertainment and Andrew Fleming will direct the show.
Recently, Netflix has released the teaser of the series, and fans can’t help but gush over Neil Patrick finally playing a queer character and trying to navigate through the complex dating scenes in New York City.

Uncoupled Release Date
Netflix has recently announced the release date for the series via the teaser. On May 4, 2022, Netflix released the teaser for the show that reveals Uncoupled is going to arrive on July 29, 2022.

The teaser reveals a broken-hearted Micheal, whose husband has left him after 17 years of marriage. In the teaser, we can see Micheal smashing a bouquet of roses in the middle of a sidewalk and imagining all the pain he has to go through when his husband walked out of his life. But, when he looks over at another guy he likes, he starts to think of the benefits of dating again. Then, he starts going to parties again and hooks up with other guys, while waiting for his one true love.
Uncoupled Plot
The plot focuses on a guy named Micheal, who’s a married guy but his husband breaks up with him after a 17-year marriage. Now, he has to navigate through the dating scenes of New York City and he won’t face many problems in it as revealed by the teaser as it said, “Break-ups suck, but single life doesn’t have to be”. It looks like we’ll be going through an array of emotions with the protagonist while watching the series. We can’t wait to see how the characters will play their parts in the series. And luckily, we don’t wait to wait for long.
