Is the wait to see more of Mel and Jack finally over? Here is everything we know about the potential release window for
Virgin River Season 5.

The countdown to the official premiere of the much-anticipated fifth season of Virgin River seems to not be not drawing closer anytime soon! If you were wondering that some updates about the potential release date will finally be revealed or at least be hinted at by Netflix in the month of April when the peak of the streaming season has just reached the tip of the iceberg with more new series and movies making their debut on the platform.

Even though we still have the entire year to look forward to, this time of the year is exciting to get an idea about what the fans can expect to see in the coming months and begin to mark their calendars in order to free their hectic schedule to spend some time with themselves and binge-watch their preferred series. Sadly, we hate to burst your bubble, but the road to the release of Virgin River Season 5 for this month seems unlikely to happen.

We know that this is an unfortunate update for the readers who really want to get their hands on the new season and once again explore the twists and turns that have been popularly known and heavily incorporated into this beloved series by building such an emotional drama that one can’t simply take their eyes off the screens. But don’t worry, there is some positive news that has been circulating on the web over the last few weeks which will definitely brighten your day!

From the recent updates, we are certain that the fifth season is definitely headed our way sometime in the 2023–24 summer streaming season on Netflix. If you’ve been keeping up with the fan pages on Twitter, then you’ll know that the main loved couple of the show has shared a recent update with their followers. Yes! You read it right, two heavily circulated clips of Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson went viral, in which they predicted that the Virgin River Season 5 would most likely return in July 2023.

Take a look at the two posts as shared by @VRPassionate on Twitter below:

To say the least, it has been a huge relief to get the fans hyped up for the Netflix 2023–24 broadcast summer season! On the other hand, there is still a lot of time for such details to be disclosed, as the network hasn’t confirmed anything, but you’re clearly in for a big surprise that will make you fall in love with these characters once again. For the time being, the fans will have to wait a little longer for Netflix to begin marketing and make these rambling details official.

Since Netflix may have tried to get ahead of the game by writing some scripts in advance, which in the case of Virgin River appears to have paid off perfectly, they appear ready to start the promo right on time after an entire year’s worth of wait. We speculatively assume that the series took a little longer to air because the renewals were approved earlier than anticipated, and the filming for the fifth season began on July 18 and concluded on November 21, 2022.

Moreover, the production ended a few months ago, which gives the crew adequate time to get on with the post-production so it can have a release window for the new season in 2023. We would like to highlight that the fourth season premiered all its episodes back on July 20, 2022, and as we are writing this, since then there hasn’t even been an entire year’s hiatus, which explains why the network has been holding off on releasing the new season beforehand.

They surely want to be consistent with their season gaps and give the viewers a chance to catch up with the seasons before diving right into the new one. If you have noticed, series have sometimes suffered because the viewers can become overwhelmed with so much content, which can lead to the hype dying out rather quickly rather than being around for a few weeks to chart the streaming lists, which is not something any show creator will like to happen and put their series at risk.
