Is Mandy back for good in the upcoming episodes of Virgin River Season 5? Continue reading to find out.
The main emphasis of Jack’s character in Virgin River so far has been his current romantic adventures, but there is more to his story, as some viewers might not be aware of Mandy, Jack’s ex-wife. Yes, you read it right!
If you recall, prior to Jack’s deployment to Iraq as a Marine, the two had a short marriage with her that ended quickly.
It is a crucial part of this past that hasn’t been given much spotlight. This leads us to speculate that the chances of Mandy’s return in Virgin River Season 5 is a major possibility, which no one has denied despite Jack telling Mel that his marriage to her is “ancient history.”
It does seem like Mel and Jack don’t need to worry about Mandy right now, but there is a likelihood of it happening in the near future, making the fifth season filled with more mayhem. If Jack’s ex-wife chooses to get back in touch with him after all these years, which can leave fans shocked!
To be honest, this will build more hype, and with this ongoing speculation, the fandom definitely has many questions that need answers!
This can also lead to more twists and make Mel and Jack face another challenge. To add fuel to the fire, in a recent interview, Henderson acknowledged that “Mandy showing up in Virgin River would complicate things even more.” Further adding, “It’s possible with this show.”
This can be exciting to explore and could lead to a potential love triangle among the three, causing more drama to build between the trio.
Moreover, Tenney recently elaborated that Mandy’s existence is actually more critical than it seems. “Now you can see that he did make that commitment at some point,” she says. “He’s been a confirmed bachelor since then, but he did marry someone at one point. This is the stuff you find out as you get to know someone, and Mel and Jack really haven’t known each other for that long. Our show moves pretty slowly.”
In an interview with Glamour on the back of season 4 of the drama series, it certainly seems to him she might be on the drawing board. “There are a lot of great Easter eggs and breadcrumbs that have been left, and we are clocking all of them thoughtfully,” he says when asked about Mandy. “I would say, check out season 5 and see if Mandy makes an appearance.”
We’ll just have to wait and watch what happens next! The official countdown for the promotion of Virgin River Season 5 is also expected to pick up pace in a few weeks for its debut in Netflix’s summer streaming season of 2023–24, which might give some glimpses of Mandy’s return in the official poster, teaser trailer or other promo stuff that the fans will love to dissect apart to know the story.
