We Own This City is a mini-series based on the book of the same name by Baltimore Sun reporter Justin Fenton. It focuses on the rise and fall of the Baltimore Police Department’s Gun Trace Task Force and the social evils like corruption that lead to it. Here’s everything you need to know about We Own This City Season 2.
Will there be a second season of We Own This City?
Originally, We Own This City was planned to be a mini-series which means there won’t be a second season for the series. Also, the series is a story that tells us the real-life events that have already been culminated. There isn’t much story to tell for the second season. So, there are very few chances that the series will be renewed for a second season.
We Own This City Season 2 Release Date
Since the series is yet to be renewed, there’s no official release date for the same as of now. We’ll keep you updated with every single detail of the second season if it happens at all.
Meanwhile, you can watch the trailer for the first season below if you haven’t watched the series yet.
We Own This City Season 2 Plot
The first season could be seen as an end to Simon’s The Wire story but it doesn’t mean that there is no scope for any further seasons. The entire concept of the series revolved around the fact that the war on drugs was never-ending. If there’s a second season for the series, we could see some other stories set in Baltimore, which will continue to explore corruption and other evil practices. Just because the criminals went behind the bars in the first season doesn’t necessarily mean that there aren’t other criminals. So, this could be the potential plot of We Own This City Season 2.
We Own This City Season 2 Cast
If the series gets renewed, we expect to see new faces and if the story continues from the events of Season 1, we could also see the main characters from Season 1 back including:
Jon Bernthal as Wayne Jenkins
Wunmi Mosaku as Nicole Steele
McKinley Belcher III as Momodu “G Money” Gondo
Darrell Britt-Gibson as Jemell Rayam
