What We Do in the Shadows Season 5 Potential Release Date
The exact release date of the upcoming season is yet to be confirmed by the FX network as of June 13, 2022. But on the bright side, it is speculated that the upcoming season will not be delayed and can be released sooner than the viewers might be anticipating. But we would like to highlight that, just like in the previous seasons, the exact release dates can’t be speculated accurately.
Moreover, all the prior seasons have been released in different time schedules or different months of the year since the premiere of What We Do in the Shadows Season 1, which was released on March 27, 2019.
Followed by the second and third seasons, which were released on April 15, 2020, and September 2, 2021. So, it will be very difficult to get the exact release date this early as the fourth season of the series is not even released and is set to make its debut on July 12, 2022, with 10 episodes.

But if we have to speculate, the viewers can expect What We Do in the Shadows Season 5 to release sometime in 2023, followed by Season 6 in the subsequent year 2024. As a result, FX Network will publish and confirm the official release dates for the next season in the following months, which fans should keep an eye on.
What We Do in the Shadows Season 5 and 6 Plot
The basic premise followed by the series overall the last three seasons is, “What We Do in the Shadows recounts the lives of three traditional vampires, Nandor, Laszlo, and Nadja; Colin Robinson, an energy vampire; and Guillermo, Nandor’s familiar, in Staten Island, New York City, New York. The vampires interact with the modern world and other supernatural beings in this series.”
As, What We Do in the Shadows Season 4 is premiering next month on July 2, 2022. So, it is very early to guess the plot for seasons 5 and 6, which is expected to pick up the pilot episode from the finale of Season 4 just like the prior seasons of the series have done to connect the plots and avoid any major loopholes in the story as the premise evolves each chapter.
Hence, the fifth and sixth season are also expected to revolve around the story and expand the characters on these plotlines and expand the universe with major changes to experiment with the story that keeps the viewers intrigued to the series so that they tune in to see more seasons.
What We Do in the Shadows Season 5 and 6 Episodes

Hence, it will be exciting to see how the plot unfolds in the new episodes and how the story progresses further, which is ultimately dependent on the show writers about what they want to convey to the audience.

What happened in the finale episode of What We Do in the Shadows Season 3?
The concluding episode of What We Do in the Shadows Season 3 Episode 10 is titled The Portrait. The episode is directed by The Yana Gorskaya and written by Sam Johnson & Stefani Robinson & Paul Simms & Lauren Wells.
The episode was released on October 28, 2021, and was viewed by 0.375 million US viewers. The official synopsis of the episode states, “The housemates grieve the loss of one of their own, each of them reacting in their own significant ways.” Take a look at the official clip from the episode where Guillermo decides to show Nandor that he’s more than just a familiar.
*Spoilers Ahead*
In the finale episode, the viewers got to see that the vampires commission a group portrait of Nandor, Nadja, Laszlo, Guillermo, Nadja’s ghost, the Guide, the Baron, the Sire, and the hellhound as part of their mourning process for Colin Robinson. Guillermo tries to urge the vampires to work through their loss in a more healthy way, but Nandor instead decides to leave Staten Island and tour the world in search of a new beginning.
Guillermo seeks assistance from Nadja, but she reveals that she now has her own problem: she has received an invitation from Viago to move to London and join the Supreme Vampiric Council, but she believes that she will be unable to do so because Laszlo has vowed never to return to England after being expelled from the prestigious Sherwood Club.
Laszlo reveals that he refuses to return to England because he was expelled from the Sherwood Club for falling in love with Nadja, despite her perceived low social standing; however, he changes his mind after learning that Nadja could join the Supreme Vampiric Council, putting them at the top of the social hierarchy. Guillermo is distraught and confronts Nandor violently, resulting in a fight. Nandor confesses that this was a test and offers to accompany Guillermo on his journey and turn him into a vampire once they arrive at Nandor’s ancestral homeland.
Guillermo gladly accepts the offer and assists the vampires in packing their possessions. As Nadja and Laszlo prepare to board a ship bound for England, Nadja is safely sealed in her coffin for the journey, but Laszlo unexpectedly locks Guillermo in his coffin rather than entering it himself.
Nandor waits for Guillermo at the railway station, but when he doesn’t show up, he’s forced to go alone while Guillermo and Nadja are loaded aboard the ship destined for London. In a letter to Nadja, Laszlo says that he must remain on Staten Island for the time being since a baby boy who looks like Colin Robinson has burst out of Colin Robinson’s body.
While it’s difficult to predict the exact plotline for the upcoming season this early, it’s been speculated that the new season will take up where the last episode left off in terms of characters and stories for the future season, starting with this precise moment in the final episode to pick up any potential cliffhangers to enlighten the interest of the viewers to see how these people will deal with new found scenarios.
