Joe Goldberg comes back for another shot at his happily-ever-after.
Netflix has begun production on the long-awaited fourth season of You. On Twitter, the creative team teased the start of filming for You Season 4 on March 22.
A tweet shared with fans included a picture of the slate board with the dates 22.3.22. Milos Moore handles the camera for the episode, directed by John Scott. Scott has also previously worked on a number of You episodes.

Sera Gamble, the showrunner, said in a statement announcing the fourth season:
“We’re deeply grateful that Netflix has shown You such tremendous support and that people worldwide have enjoyed watching Joe really get it all very wrong over the past three seasons. The whole You team is excited to explore new, dark facets of Love in season 4.”
After the viewers were fascinated with the troubled, charming psychopath Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley), you became a Netflix hit.

Moreover, Netflix recently confirmed that shooting is currently happening in London and shared the post on their official social media handles.

With this exciting news, the fans are fixated on knowing all of his next moves because he had a terrifying fascination with women and the willingness to have them at any cost.
While Seasons 1 and 2 were well-received, some fans found season 3 to be a letdown, primarily to plot holes. However, this does not mean that anticipation for the fourth season has dwindled. It has, on the other hand, increased.
Last month, Deadline reported that Euphoria and The White Lotus actor Lukas Gage is cast as a series regular in You Season 4.
According to Adam’s character description, many people believe Joe has finally met his arch-enemy. Adam, too, is a deceiver, albeit a wealthy one. He is the “youngest son of a rich East-Coast magnate.”
Meanwhile, Henry, Joe, and Love’s (Victoria Pedretti) son will have a significant stake in the series. Joe’s psychopath urges were suppressed in bits and pieces previously when he was caring for his 15-year-old neighbor, Ellie (Jenna Ortega).
After leaving Henry in the care of Dante (Ben Mehl) and pursuing Marienne (Tati Gabrielle) to Paris after killing Love, viewers can expect Joe to take on the role of a father figure.
What is the plot for You Season 4?
The plot has remained a bit of a mystery. The first three seasons were adapted from Caroline Kepnes’ novels, but there is no fourth book. So, it will be interesting to note how the script turns out to be and how the structure is dealt with for the future season.
You Season 4 Cast

The cast for You Season 4 is:
- Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg
- Tati Gabrielle as Marienne Bellamy
- Lukas Gage as Adam. He will be seen playing a significant role in the new season.
According to People magazine, actors Tilly Keeper, Amy Leigh Hickman, and Ed Speleers have reportedly been cast as recurring characters in You Season 4.
Charlotte Richie to play the female lead.
Niccy Lin, Aidan Cheng, Stephen Hagan, Ben Wiggins, Eve Austin, Ozioma Whenu, Dario Coates, Sean Pertwee, Brad Alexander, Alison Pargeter, and Adam James will join them in the fourth installment and will play recurring roles. The creators are yet to reveal any additional information about their characters.

Locations for the upcoming season
Season 4 appears to be set in Paris, France, or London, United Kingdom.
You’s first season was set and filmed in New York, but the story and production moved to Los Angeles for season two. “You’ll notice the sun-drenched colour palette if you go straight from season one to season two,” Sera Gamble told Variety. “The light in Los Angeles is creamier than it was in Season One.”
The third season of You was also shot in California, with locations in the Los Angeles area serving as stand-ins for the fictional town of Madre Linda and a street in the Los Angeles suburb of Van Nuys serving as the exteriors of Love and Joe’s idyllic home.
By the end of season three, the narrative has Joe in Paris looking for his latest obsession, Marienne, even though the scene was shot in Los Angeles with a fake backdrop depicting the Eiffel Tower.
Plot theories about You Season 4

Season four of the hit Netflix series may be the final season, and in a recent interview with Vulture, star Penn Badgley discussed what he thinks should happen to murderer Joe when the drama concludes.
While Joe was last seen searching for his new obsession with Marienne, whom he believes has fled to Paris, his love for his son is likely to draw Joe back to California.
Love is unlikely to be alive (though anything is possible in You), but she (and Victoria Pedretti, who plays her) could return to Joe’s mind to haunt him, just as Beck did in Season 2.
Will Joe continue to feed his Marienne craze, or will he return to Henry? Is there a soft spot in the murderer’s heart for his child? Will he be killed off in Season 4? Hopefully, when Season 4 premieres on Netflix, everything will be answered.
All the seasons of You are available for streaming on Netflix.
