10-month-old kidnapped Idaho baby found dead near naked father on roadside

A dangerous inkling. A baby disappears. The condition in which he is found is sinister.

An Idaho man, Jeremy Albert Best, was accused of the death of his wife and kidnapped child, was found naked on the side of a road near his dead infant by police this week, per authorities via People’s report.

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office released a press statement on Saturday that Jeremy Albert Best was discovered in a sleeping bag on the side of a road east of Idaho Falls after having made “odd statements” earlier that morning. Police reports further elucidate that a group of hunters reported him to the authorities before they realized that he was the very man the Teton County Sheriff’s Office wanted.

The Saturday press release statement continued that at the scene, authorities located Best’s black Chevy SUV down an embankment, as well as his dead 10-month-old child, Zeke Best. Albert Best was then reportedly treated by Idaho Falls Ambulance for injuries and has since been booked in Bonneville County and is awaiting his arrest warrant.

The authorities recited that a joint effort by Bonneville County detectives, Idaho State Police, and the Teton County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from Idaho Falls Police detectives and the FBI, are all putting their heads together into the active investigation of this case to derive suitable results.

Via People, we derive the sheriff’s office’s statement that says, “Best will remain incarcerated until arraignment before the court,” adding, “Our thoughts are with the family of the victims involved in this case. Further information about this case will be available at an appropriate time in the future as the investigation is still ongoing.”

Looking into the backstory of this case and the reason why Best was noted as wanted by the authorities, reports elucidate that Best’s arrest came two days after his wife, Kali Jean Randall, was found unresponsive by Teton County deputies inside their home on Thursday. Her death, which has been ruled as a homicide, is being actively investigated by the authorities involved, who earlier on the receiver’s line picked up some ‘disturbances’ on the line.

The main suspect linked to Kali’s murder was her husband Best, who was also termed as the primary suspect for the disappearance of their baby Zeke. Authorities issued an Amber Alert for the infant at the time.

At the time, Kali’s bother Bryan Randall offered his statement to PEOPLE, stating, “She was absolutely a genuine beautiful soul.” Via his confirmation, the news outlet reported that Kali and Best met back in 2009, and Randall viewed Best as a ‘normal guy.’ Additionally, he added that he could not recall any instances of conflict between the two. He said, “Sometimes maybe you don’t know people.”
