A Cinderella Story

Released in 2004, this film features Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray and is actually a modern adaptation of the story of Cinderella but with a twist in the aspect of the prince’s perspective. A girl named Sam, with a torturing stepmother and stepsisters, meets an online pen pal named Nomad and decides to meet him.

In The Mood For Love

Released in 2000, this movie is 1 hour 38 minutes long. It features Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung. The movie’s plot is based on the story of two people surrounded by work who realize how their respective spouses are cheating on them and start to fall for each other. 

While You Were Sleeping

A Sandra Bullock classic rom-com flick with the feature Bill Pullman was released in the year of 1995. The film’s story revolves around a lonely transit worker woman who pulls her crush from the train path, and when he slips into a coma, she starts falling for his brother. 

The Wedding Planner

With the feature of Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey, this film is 1 hour 44 minutes long and was released in the year of 2001. It is a story about the most perfect wedding planner in the town named Mary, who gets saved by a man and falls for him, later she finds out that he is the fiancé of one of her clients.

I still refuse to believe that it was released in 2004, with an amazing cast including Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. The movie will make you go through phases and keep your mind involved in two states of time. It follows the story of a couple who met in a train and now get their memories of each other clinically erased. 

Before Sunrise

This is one of my all-time go-to comfort movies, starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. It is the first movie of the before trilogy movies, which was created with a gap of 9 years between them. The movie is less about the plot and a lot more about the vibes. If you believe in how a stranger can be a vital part of your life someday, this film is nothing but a cinematic present for you.

The Proposal

Not exactly an ‘enemy to lovers’ but slightly in the same category of rom-com with Sandra Bullock & Ryan Reynolds as the lead roles. The film makes you slowly fall for both of them when they are actually busy falling for each other in a romantic, comical way without even realizing it in the movie.
