Thrissur: Thrissur Pooram will be flagged off tomorrow. The 36-hour long rituals and ceremonies at Pooram are very important. Even after 224 years of Pooram, which was started by Shaktan Thampuran, the King of Kochi, it has not gone astray. The hours-long celebrations of Thrissur Pooram begin with the opening of the door of the south tower of the Neethalakavu Bhagavathy. After Kanimangalam Sastha, other Ghatakapurams will be arriving at Sreemoolasthanam till 1.30 pm.
