Despite the outbreak of Coronavirus across the country, people are not taking corrective names and are constantly violating infection prevention.
One such case has come to light from Badaun in Uttar Pradesh, where thousands of people attended a funeral procession of a maulvi. Very few of them wore masks, and social distancing was not far away.
The police have registered an FIR in the case.
Maulvi died on Sunday.
Maulvi Abdul Hameed Mohammad Salimul Qadri, a resident of Badaun, died on Sunday afternoon. Thousands of people from different parts of the state reached Badaun within a few hours after hearing the news of his death.
There was no administration or police officer on the spot.
These people had gathered here without the knowledge of the administration, and there was no police or administration officer on the spot. However, aerial video of the incident has raised the administration’s concern. People in the crowd are clinging to each other so much that there is no place to breathe properly. The administration is worried that the incident may increase the number of corona infections in the district.
Police filed FIR, and action will be taken against the culprits.
After the video of the incident came to light, the Uttar Pradesh Police has registered an FIR in the case and started an investigation, and the culprits are being identified. Badaun Superintendent of Police Sankalp Sharma told Web News Observer, “A case has been registered against the unidentified people under the epidemic act. We are watching the video to collect evidence, and strict action will be taken against those who have violated the rules.”
