India reports 1 lakh new covid cases on the last day, lowest since April 4

In the last 24 hours in India, 1,00,636 new cases of infection with coronavirus were reported, and 2,427 deaths. This is the lowest number of new cases reported in a single day after April 4.

With this, the total number of infected people in the country has gone up to 2,89,09,975. Out of these, 3,49,186 people have lost their lives due to this dangerous virus.

The number of active cases has come down to 14,01,609.

1.74 lakh patients recovered on the last day

In the last 24 hours, 1,74,399 patients recovered in the country. With this, the total number of patients who have been cured after defeating the epidemic has increased to 2,71,59,180. The recovery rate of the country is 93.94 per cent. Apart from this, 15,87,589 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 36.63 crore coronavirus tests have been done in the country.

The death toll in Maharashtra crosses 1 lakh.

If we look at the most affected states, 58,31,781 people have been infected in Maharashtra, and 1,00,130 people have died.

So far, 26,95,523 people have been found infected, and 31,580 have died in Karnataka, the second most affected state.

Similarly, Kerala with 26,33,082 and 9,946 deaths and Tamil Nadu with 22,37,233 cases and 27,005 deaths are the following two worst-affected states.

How is the situation in the most affected states?

In Maharashtra, 12,557 new Covid cases found on the last day, while 233 patients died. The situation seems to be under control due to the decrease in the pace of infection in the state. Similarly, in Karnataka, 12,209 people were infected, and 320 patients died, while in Kerala, 14,672 cases were reported, and 227 deaths occurred. Tamil Nadu reported 20,421 new cases and 434 deaths.

According to Johns Hopkins University, around 173.26 million people have been infected with the coronavirus worldwide, while 37.26 lakh people have died.

In the most affected America, 33.4 million people have been infected, and about 5.98 lakh people have died. India is the second most affected country after America.

At the same time, in Brazil, the third most affected country, out of 1.69 crores infected, about 4.73 lakh patients have died.
