COVID: India reports 91,702 new cases in the last 24 hours, more than 3,400 deaths

In the last 24 hours in India, 91,702 new cases of infection with coronavirus were reported, and 3,403 patients died.

With this, the total number of infected people in the country has gone up to 2,92,74,823. Of these, 3,63,079 people have lost their lives.

The number of active cases has come down to 11,21,671. There is a decline in corona cases in the country, and for the fourth consecutive day, the daily cases have been less than one lakh.

1.34 lakh patients recovered on the last day

In the last 24 hours, 1,34,580 patients were cured across the country. With this, the total number of patients who have recovered after defeating the epidemic has gone up to 2,77,90,073. The recovery rate of the country is 94.77 per cent.

Apart from this, 20,44,131 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 37.42 crore coronavirus tests have been done in the country.

These are the most affected states.

If we look at the most affected states, 58,76,087 people have been found infected in Maharashtra, and 1,03,748 people have died.

So far, 27,39,290 people have been infected, and 32,485 have died in Karnataka, the second most affected state.

Similarly, Kerala with 26,88,590 cases and 10,641 deaths and Tamil Nadu with 23,08,838 cases and 28,528 deaths are the next two worst-affected states.

How is the situation in the most affected states?

Twelve thousand two hundred seven people were found infected in Maharashtra on the previous day, while 393 patients died. The situation seems to be under control due to the decrease in the pace of infection in the state.

Similarly, in Karnataka, 11,042 people were found infected, and 194 patients died, while in Kerala, 14,224 cases were reported, and 194 deaths occurred. Sixteen thousand eight hundred thirteen new cases were reported in Tamil Nadu, and 358 patients died.

According to Johns Hopkins University, around 17.47 crore people have been infected with the coronavirus worldwide, while 37.69 lakh people have died. In the most affected America, 33.4 million people have been infected, and about 5.98 lakh people have died. India is the second most affected country after America. At the same time, out of 1.72 crores infected in Brazil, the third most affected country, about 4.82 lakh patients have died.
