Coronavirus: 37,154 cases in the country in the last 24 hours, recoveries cross 3 crore mark

In the last 24 hours, 37,154 new cases of infection with the coronavirus were reported in India, and 724 patients died. With this, the total number of infected people in the country has gone up to 3,08,74,376. Of these, 4,08,764 people have lost their lives. The number of active cases has come down to 4,50,899. Corona cases have been declining in the country for several weeks, and the situation is getting better.

More than 39,000 patients recovered on the last day

Thirty-nine thousand six hundred forty-nine patients recovered across the country in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of patients who have been cured after defeating the epidemic has gone up to 3,00,14,713. The recovery rate of the country is 97.22 per cent. Apart from this, 14,32,343 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the epidemic, about 43.23 crore coronavirus tests have been done in the country.

These are the most affected states.

If we look at the most affected states, 61,57,799 people have been found infected in Maharashtra, and 1,25,878 people have died. So far, 30,65,336 people have been infected, and 14,586 have died in Kerala, the second most affected state. Similarly, Karnataka, with 28,71,298 cases and 35,835 deaths and Tamil Nadu, with 25,18,786 cases and 33,418 deaths, are the following two worst-affected states.

How is the situation in the most affected states?

Talking about new cases, 8,535 people found infected in Maharashtra on the last day, while 156 patients died. The pace of infection seems to be under control in the state for a few months. Similarly, in Kerala, 12,220 people were infected, and 97 patients died, while in Karnataka, 1,978 cases were reported, and 56 deaths occurred. In Tamil Nadu, the infection was confirmed in 2,775 people, and 47 patients lost their lives.

37,73,52,501 doses of vaccine have been administered so far. Only 12,35,287 doses were administered on the last day. Being a Sunday, there were fewer doses yesterday.
