Talking about those who recovered after defeating coronavirus infection, 36,830 patients have recovered across the country in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of patients cured by defeating the epidemic has gone up to 3,14,48,754. The country’s recovery rate is 97.51 per cent.
In addition, 15,63,985 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours. About 49.66 crore coronavirus tests have been conducted in the country since the beginning of the epidemic.
These are the most affected states
Looking at the worst affected States, 63,96,805 people have been infected, and 1,35,139 people have died in Maharashtra.
In Kerala, the second-worst affected State, 37,02,417 people have been found infected so far, and 18,743 deaths have taken place.
Similarly, Karnataka, with 29,30,529 cases and 37,007 deaths, and Tamil Nadu, with 25,90,632 cases and 34,547 deaths, are the next two worst-affected states.
How are the conditions of the states most affected?
In Maharashtra, 4,145 people were found infected the previous day, while 100 patients died. The pace of infection in the state has been under control for a few months.
Similarly, in Kerala, 12,294 people were infected, and 142 patients died, while Karnataka reported 1,065 cases and 28 deaths.
In Tamil Nadu, 1,851 people were confirmed to have infections, and 28 patients lost their lives.
What is the status of the vaccination campaign?
Coming to the world’s largest vaccination campaign in the country, 55,47,30,609 doses of the vaccine have been administered so far. The previous day, 88,13,919 doses were administered. The slow pace of vaccination remains a matter of concern.
