India has reported 35,178 new cases of coronavirus infection and 440 deaths in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of infected persons in the country has gone up to 3,22,85,857. Out of these, 4,32,519 people have lost their lives.
The number of active cases has come down to 3,67,415.
Daily cases have stabilized in the country for the last two months, which is a matter of concern.
More than 37,000 patients recovered the previous day
Talking about those who recovered after defeating coronavirus infection, 37,169 patients have recovered across the country in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of patients who have recovered after defeating the epidemic has gone up to 3,14,85,923. The country’s recovery rate is 97.52 per cent.
In addition, 17,97,559 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours. About 49.84 crore coronavirus tests have been conducted in the country since the beginning of the epidemic.
These are the most affected states
Looking at the worst affected States, 64,01,213 people have been found infected, and 1,35,255 people have died in Maharashtra so far.
In Kerala, the second-worst affected State, 37,03,578 people have been found infected, and 18,870 deaths have taken place.
Similarly, the next two worst-affected states are Karnataka, with 29,31,827 cases and 37,039 deaths and Tamil Nadu, with 25,92,436 cases and 34,579 deaths.
How are the conditions of the states most affected?
Regarding new cases, 4,408 people were found infected in Maharashtra the previous day, while 116 patients died. The pace of infection in the state has been under control for a few months.
Similarly, 21,613 people were found infected, and 127 patients died in Kerala, while 1,298 cases were reported and 32 deaths were reported in Karnataka.
In Tamil Nadu, 1,804 people were confirmed to have infections, and 32 patients lost their lives.
What is the status of the vaccination campaign?
Coming to the world’s largest vaccination campaign in the country, 56,06,52,030 doses of the vaccine have been administered so far. 55,05,075 doses were administered the previous day. The slow pace of vaccination remains a matter of concern.
