The number of active cases has come down to 3,61,340.
The daily cases in the country have almost stabilized for the last two months and this is a matter of concern.
Over 36,000 patients recovered the previous day
Talking about those who recovered after defeating coronavirus infection, 36,347 patients have recovered across the country in the last 24 hours.
At the same time, the total number of patients who have recovered after defeating the epidemic has gone up to 3,15,97,982. The country’s recovery rate is 97.54 percent.
In addition, 17,21,205 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours. About 50.45 crore coronavirus tests have been conducted in the country since the beginning of the epidemic.
These are the most affected states
Looking at the worst affected States, 64,15,935 people have been found infected and 1,35,672 people have died in Maharashtra so far.
In Kerala, the second-worst affected State, 37,86,797 people have been found infected so far and 19,345 deaths have taken place.
Similarly, Karnataka with 29,36,077 cases and 37,105 deaths, and Tamil Nadu with 25,97,603 cases and 34,673 deaths are the next two worst-affected states.
How are the conditions of the states most affected?
In the new cases, 4,365 people were found infected in Maharashtra the previous day, while 105 patients died. The pace of infection in the state has been under control for a few months.
Similarly, 20,224 people were found infected and 99 patients died in Kerala, while Karnataka reported 1,453 cases and 17 deaths.
In Tamil Nadu, 1,668 people were confirmed to have the infection and 24 patients lost their lives.

Coming to the world’s largest vaccination campaign in the country, 57,61,17,350 doses of the vaccine have been administered so far. 36,36,043 doses were administered the previous day. The slow pace of vaccination remains a matter of concern.
21.07 crore people infected worldwide
About 21.07 million people worldwide have been infected with the corona virus so far, while 44.13 million have died.
In the worst-hit US, 3.76 million people have been infected and 6.28 million have died. India is the second most affected country after the US.
Brazil, the third most affected country, has reported 5.73 lakh deaths out of 2.05 crore infected people.
