Google is preparing to debut its Pixel 6 smartphone series in October.
The top-tier Pixel 6 Pro has recently emerged in a hands-on video (via M. Brandon Lee), showcasing its glossy appearance and curved edges.
According to Lee, the device is a Production Validation Testing (PVT) unit which is 99% similar to the consumer model.
The phone’s display will be QHD+ OLED
The Google Pixel 6 Pro will come with a punch-hole design, low bezels, curved edges, a glossy finish, and a dual-tone color scheme. A horizontally oriented camera island will be located on the back panel.
The phone will include a 6.7-inch QHD+ (1440×3120 pixel) OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and an integrated fingerprint sensor.
It will also be dust and water-resistant, with an IP68 rating.
It will have a 50MP primary camera
The Google Pixel 6 Pro will come with a triple back camera configuration that includes a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP telephoto lens with 4x optical zoom capability.
A 12MP front-facing camera will be available for selfies and video calls.
It will enable mmWave 5G and UWB connection
The Google Pixel 6 Pro will be powered by an octa-core Tensor chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
It will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery and will enable 33W rapid charging.
Wi-Fi 6E, ultra-wideband (UWB), mmWave 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, and a Type-C connector will be supported for communication.
Pricing and availability for the Google Pixel 6 Pro
Google will publish the Pixel 6 Pro’s official pricing and availability details around the time of launch, which is expected to be on October 19. However, based on the specifications, it is likely to cost approximately Rs. 80,000 in India.
