Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Liger’ to star Mike Tyson

Liger, Vijay Deverakonda’s next project, has been generating a lot of news in recent months, and it has now piqued our interest due to a major development.

According to reports, boxing icon Mike Tyson would play a big part in the next pan-India film.

The film, directed by Puri Jagannadh in Telugu, will be Tyson’s debut appearance in Indian cinema.

In the film, Deverakonda will play an MMA fighter

The film, with the slogan ‘Saala Crossbreed,’ tells the narrative of an MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter played by Arjun Reddy.

The film also has major performances by Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy.

The film is co-produced by Karan Johar, Charmme Kaur, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Jagannadh under the banners of  Dharma Productions and Puri Connects.

Ananya Panday is the female lead

Ananya Panday, a Bollywood actress, will play the female protagonist in this film.

Liger is presently being shot in Goa, and the film will be distributed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.

A source told a portal that the former world’s number one heavyweight boxer will make a cameo appearance in the Telugu film’s conclusion.

The film represents Deverakonda and Jagannadh’s debut collaboration

Liger’s outstanding cast is completed by Makarand Deshpande, Vishu Reddy, Ali, and Getup Srinu.

Interestingly, this is the first collaboration between the Pokiri filmmaker and Deverakonda.

Kecha has been tasked with directing the high-octane action sequences that will appear in the film.

Aside from this, Deverakonda has projects in the works with Shiva Nirvana and Sukumar.
