The Delhi Commission for Women has sent a notice to the Delhi Police in the case of online threats to the 9-month-old daughter of Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma. Terming these threats as extremely shameful, the Chairperson of the Women’s Commission, Swati Maliwal has asked the police for the FIR registered in the case and the information of the accused.
The commission has asked the police to submit this report by November 8.

Virat is on target of trolls after defeat against Pakistan

After Pakistan’s defeat in the T20 Cricket World Cup on October 24, some users on social media trolled Virat and threatened to rape his daughter.
These attacks on him increased after taking the side of fast bowler Mohammed Shami. After the defeat against Pakistan, Shami was targeted for his religion and Virat defended him and scolded the trolls.

Maliwal’s question – Why this cheapness on defeat?

Reacting strongly to the attacks on Virat’s daughter, Maliwal tweeted, “The manner in which the 9-month-old daughter of Virat Kohli was threatened with rape on Twitter, it is extremely shameful. This team has made us feel proud thousands of times, why this cheapness on defeat? I have issued a notice to Delhi Police, arrest all those who threatened the 9-month-old girl with rape!’

This information was sought from Delhi Police

In his notice, Maliwal has sought details of the FIR registered in the case from the Delhi Police and the identified and arrested accused.

If no accused has been arrested, the commission has asked the police to inform about the steps taken for their arrest. Apart from this, a detailed report of the action taken in the matter has also been sought.
This notice has been sent to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Cyber Crime), Delhi Police.

India almost out of T20 World Cup

After two consecutive defeats, India is on the verge of being out of the T20 World Cup from the group stage itself. In the first match Pakistan beat him by 10 wickets and then in the next match New Zealand beat him by 8 wickets.

India will now have to win their remaining three matches to reach the semi-finals. Along with this, we will have to pray that Afghanistan beat New Zealand.
