The iOS App Store listing of the app states that with the help of this feature, influencers and creators will get the option of earning.
At the same time, other users will have to pay to get the subscription.
Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri said earlier this year that the company was considering subscription options, and now there are changes related to it.
New category seen in App Store listing
A new ‘Instagram subscriptions’ category has appeared in Instagram’s App Store listing, according to a TechCrunch report.
This category has been added to the ‘In-App Purchases’ section, which means that users will have to pay for this.
According to a new report, the monthly fee for Instagram subscriptions is Rs 89.
However, it is not necessary that this will be the final price when this feature is rolled out to all users.
Subscription option shown during live sessions
Users can now give Instagram badges to creators during live sessions in addition to the new subscription option.
A US App Store listing for Instagram subscriptions on November 1st included a $4.99 in-app purchase option, according to Sensor Tower.
Two days later, on November 3, the $0.99 in-app purchase option was included.
Subscribe button will appear on the creators’ profile
According to tipster Alessandro Paluzzi, Instagram is also testing an option for users to subscribe to content creators’ profiles.
In other words, by subscribing to their favourite creator or influencer, fans can gain access to exclusive content like stories and live videos.
Similar to Twitter Blue’s paid subscription service, Instagram subscribers have access to exclusive content.
