The announcement was made during the talk show ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ on Tuesday. In an interview with People magazine, Paul expressed his happiness in a witty tone.
The 52-year-old actor said, “I do have an awareness, enough to know that when people hear that I’d be picked for this, they would say, ‘What?.” He has also been featured on the cover page of People magazine.
Paul Rudd first broke the news to his wife
Regarding being given a place on the cover page, the Ant-Man actor said, “It is not false modesty. There are many people who should get this honour before me.”
He joked that he had a good understanding of how people would react to the news.
He first told his wife Julie Yeager about getting the title. She said that she was shocked to hear this news.
