It’s been a while since Vidya Balan was in the news for a film in which Ileana D’Cruz is also going to be seen with her. However, there was no official confirmation regarding the film.
Now, Vidya herself has announced her film on social media. She looks very excited about it. On the other hand, Ileana has also expressed happiness about this.

Vidya Balan said the film will make you cry
Announcing the film on social media, Vidya wrote, “Stoked about my next – an untitled charming drama-comedy about modern relationships, which promises to be either your story or the story of your friend.”
She wrote, “It will make you laugh and cry in equal measure and I’m enjoying playing Kavya to the hilt.”
In the picture shared by Vidya, she is seen with Ileana D’Cruz, Prateek Gandhi and Indian American artist Sendhil Ramamurthy.

Ileana was eager to announce the film
Ileana wrote on Instagram, “Been waiting so long to announce this! So so excited about this film and to be working with these beautiful actors Vidya Balan, Prateek Gandhi and Sendhil Ramamurthy. I’m absolutely delighted to be directed by the lovely Shirsha Guha Thakurta who knows exactly what she wants and is extracting the best out of me.”
She wrote, “And a huge shoutout to the film’s producers Applause Entertainment and Ellipsis Entertainment, for this casting coup and for backing such a real, relatable and heart-warming subject.”
In the director’s words
The film’s director Shirsha said, “When I first heard this story, I was instantly attracted to its universe-honest, funny and so today. The actors have been a dream to work with. Their generosity is something I will cherish…Yes, I am nervous but this journey so far has been truly special.”
The film is currently being shot in Mumbai and Ooty.

Vidya is also in discussion about the film ‘Jalsa’. Shefali Shah will be seen with her in this. Nushrat Bharucha can also be seen in the film. The director of this film is also being commanded by Suresh Triveni, who directed ‘Tumhari Sulu’.
On the other hand, the producer of the film is Vikram Malhotra, who has produced Vidya starrer ‘Sherni’.
Vidya may also work in a film with South’s superstar Chiranjeevi.
