Bhediya first look: Varun Dhawan’s eyes roar in the poster

Glittering eyes, a fierce look topped with an almost scary background. This is what Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer Bhediya’s poster looks like. Dhawan’s fans are all excited to see him in a brand-new avatar and so are Sanon’s fans to find out the chemistry between the two.

Dhawan’s eyes are seen giving a silent message, “You don’t want to mess with me.”

Along with the poster, the makers have also announced the new release date. The film is now slated to hit the theatres on November 25, 2022, exactly a year from now.

Horror comedies make for an interesting watch

Horror comedies are ruling Bollywood. And it makes for a hit recipe for a successful movie.

From the Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree to the most recent Roohi featuring Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, horror-comedy films stand out of the clutter.

Of course, all are backed by Dinesh Vijan but Bhediya would need to stand out anyway.

Netizens pointed out the Bhediya poster’s resemblance with Redrum

Nothing can beat the sharp eyes of Netizens. They are quick to point out mistakes, the missing factor and whatnot. Here, too, Netizens pointed out the poster’s resemblance with ‘Redrum’s, a 2018 psychological thriller film directed by Dhruv Sachdev and Saurabh Bali.

The poster shows Dhawan in a rugged look staring with his wolf-like eyes. It has the film’s title Bhediya written in a font like claw marks.

The makers have only revealed Dhawan’s look as of now, and the rest of the cast is kept under the wraps as of now.

Netizens, however, came down heavily on the creators and compared Bhediya’s poster with the one of the 2018 thriller Redrum.

Release deferred to avoid a clash with ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’?

Bhediya was originally planned to be released in mid-April, 2022, as per reports.

But the latest announcement has made it clear that its premiere will happen several months after the original date.

Makers are citing heavy visual effects as a reason for the delay, but there are speculations that they did not want a clash with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, which is releasing on April 14, 2022.

The film is a feast for the eyes, says director Amar Kaushik

Directed by Amar Kaushik, the VFX and special effects of the film are being crafted by a noted Hollywood studio.

Talking about the film, Kaushik had said in a statement, “Bhediya is a tale filled with awe-inspiring imagery. Each and every member of the cast and crew knew that we were crafting something very special. It’s not just the path-breaking VFX; the film is a feast for the eyes in every aspect possible.”
