Shahid Kapoor is now making headlines for filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Bloody Daddy’. The Kabir Singh actor started shooting for the action thriller in Abu Dhabi on November 12.
Since then, there were speculations that the film would release on Netflix.
Now, fresh reports say that the film will hit theatres and that it would be spared from an OTT release. It may see the light of the day in the second half of next year.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Ali Abbas’s ‘Bloody Daddy’ starring Shahid will be released in theatres.
A source said, “Ever since the beginning, the Ali Abbas Zafar and Shahid Kapoor project has been conceptualized as a big scale action thriller for the cinema halls. All the stakeholders believe that an action thriller like this has a massive theatrical audience, and this combo of Ali with Shahid will create the right amount of noise. There has been confusion over its release medium since Ali was discussing some other project with an OTT platform, however, that’s not happening at the moment.”
When can the film get an OTT release?
The source further added that this film can be brought on OTT only in the circumstances of a complete lockdown in the country.
The source believes that everyone is optimistic and that such dull days will not come again.
At the same time, according to the report of Let’s OTT Global, this film of Shahid is being made for Netflix. So, it will be aired on Netflix in early 2022.

Katrina may be seen in the film
If the film turns out to be successful, then it can be turned into a franchise.
“If the first film succeeds, Ali, Shahid, and their producer partners are planning to spin this film into a franchise on the lines of Taken,” the source added.
Apart from Shahid’s character, the roles of other actors have not been revealed yet. It is being said that Katrina Kaif can also be signed for the film.
The film will be a Hindi remake of ‘Nuit Blanche’
This is Shahid’s first film with Ali Abbas. The film will be a Hindi remake of ‘Nuit Blanche’. Nuit Blanche is a French film.
Ali Abbas has acquired the rights for the remake of ‘Nuit Blanche’, which has been remade in English with the title ‘Sleepless Nights’. This is a film in which Tomer Sisley is in the lead role. This film was released in 2011.
‘Bloody Daddy’ will be Shahid’s second film to hit the theatres after ‘Jersey’.
