It won’t be wrong to say that with time Abhishek Bachchan’s acting skills, too, took off. He is one of those Bollywood actors who have impressed the audience with his craft off late. And it is not only because of his father Amitabh Bachchan’s stardom but a result of a long struggle that he has made his place in the industry.
In a recent interview, Abhishek has revealed that despite being the son of a superstar, it took him two years to get his first film.
It was in an interview with Rolling Stones India, that Abhishek revealed it took him two years to get his first film.
He said, “It took me over two years to get my first film. A lot of people would think that being Mr. Bachchan’s son, people are going to be lined up around the block. No, they weren’t. I spoke to almost each and every director before starting, and they did not decide to work with me, and that’s fine.”
Abhishek added that in his 21 years of career, he had to face many ordeals. While there were some days that were good, there were days when he was unemployed, too.Not that Abhishek has any complaints. He knows that the film industry runs on business. If your films are successful, people will cast you. It’s as simple as that.
Those who are following Abhishek on social media would know that he is often the target of trolls. While some troll him for his acting skills, others accuse him of nepotism. Now, the actor had answered the critics with his recent movies and web series. He said that it is very easy to raise questions on someone.
“It’s taken a lot of effort, a lot of heartache, and heartbreak to make it through these 21 years. It’s not been easy,” he said.
Soon after the interview, Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to express his feelings.
He wrote in his Twitter post, ‘Nothing in life is achieved without struggle. I am proud of your struggle.’
बिना संघर्ष के जीवन में कुछ भी प्राप्त नहीं होता ! गर्व है मुझे, तुम्हारे संघर्ष का, अत्यंत प्रसन्नता है मुझे तुम्हारे 'प्राप्त' की ।
