COVID’s raging fury is wreaking havoc once again. This time it is the BTS band members that have tested positive for the virus. Big Hit Entertainment confirmed on December 25 that RM and Jin have tested positive for COVID-19. In a statement, they informed that the duo has been quarantined and is taking all the necessary precautions.

The statement was released on Weverse where the agency released a brief message for all the fans. This news came days after Suga tested positive for COVID. As of now RM has not exhibited any symptoms and is recovering fine. However, Jin had flu-like symptoms for which he is being treated at home.

In August, RM and Jin both received their second dose of COVID-19 vaccination and are now self-treating at home according to health authority instructions. After returning to Korea, neither member made touch with the other members.

BTS performed in So-Fi stadium in early December

BTS had a massive concert performance in the So-Fi stadium in LA early this December. Apart from the concert, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook also attended the American music awards and have appeared in the Late Late Show with James Corden. After wrapping up their schedule in the USA, their agency announced that all the members will take a short break from their work.

Although Jin, Jimin, and Jungkook flew to South Korea soon after the concert, V and J-Hope went on vacation to Hawaii, while RM and Suga had separate plans. RM had tested negative upon his arrival to South Korea, he still underwent the mandatory quarantine but was tested positive on the day his quarantine supposedly was to end. On the other hand, Jin had tested negative both times but showed symptoms of flu which upon testing was confirmed to be of COVID.

Fashion, music, television shows, cosmetics, games, cuisine, manhwa, and beauty standards, you name it and everything has been influenced by the Korean Wave.

If there’s one thing in particular that has added to this Korean fever, it can be BTS. Known for their message delivery via songs and immense love for fans, BTS is one of the highest followed bands on social media and remains one of the most powerful across the globe. At this point, it would be safe to say that they have one of the strongest and most loyal fandoms currently.

BTS fans expressed their concern

So, when the news of the members of the boy band testing positive came, fans had different reactions. While some were worried about their idols, others prayed that they get well soon. Some even took to Instagram to share their heartfelt messages wishing a speedy recovery for both RM and JIN.

Since Suga also tested positive, many fans took to Twitter to express their concern to all the members since they had just returned from the USA. Pulling out the famous quotes of the members, many BTS Armies, as they call themselves, made fan edits and posted stories about how BTS has always encouraged people to stay strong and how during their path to recovery they will be doing the same.
