Kim Mi-soo of Snowdrop fame died on January 5, 2022, at the age of 29. Her management company released a statement informing fans of the awful news. Her agency, Landscape Entertainment, issued a statement confirming the news and revealing that her last rites will be held at Taeneung Sungsim Funeral Service. The message further asked that no one give attention to any rumours or conjecture concerning the actor’s demise. The cause of her death is yet to be determined.

“This is Landscape Entertainment, the agency of actress Kim Mi Soo. We have some sad and distressing news to share with you. Kim Mi Soo died unexpectedly on January 5. The grieving family is presently distraught as a result of the tragic news. We respectfully request that you abstain from spreading false rumours or speculative reports so that the grieving family can honour the departed with reverence. The funeral will be held softly and privately, as requested by her family. Please send your condolences to Kim Mi Soo’s family, and please accept our heartfelt sympathies.”
Kim Mi-Soo’s acting background was diverse
Kim made her acting debut in Lipstick Revolution in 2018. Kim was most known for her first part in the Lipstick Revolution and a supporting role in Kyungmi’s World in the early stages of her career. She also played the female protagonist’s sister in the 2020 drama Hi Bye, Mama!
Kim garnered notoriety recently for her depiction of Yeo Jeong-min, a frigid yet compassionate and righteous student activist, in JTBC’s Snowdrop (2021-22). Despite the show’s ongoing controversy over purported historical inaccuracies, Kim’s performance in Snowdrop was her most prominent on-screen appearance to date.
Kim recently began working for an undisclosed part in Disney’s original drama Kiss Six Sense, which is expected to premiere in the first half of 2022. Because of Kim Mi-untimely Soo’s demise, Kiss Six Sense has cancelled the day’s filming.
Her recent drama, Snowdrop is directed by Jo Hyun Tak and written by Yoo Hyun Mi. It is set in Seoul, South Korea, in 1987. The new K-drama tells the story of Su Ho, a famous university student who one day runs into a women’s university hostel that is covered in blood. Jisoo portrays Young Ro, a female university student who hides him and tends to his wounds while under constant monitoring. Yoo In Na, Jang Seung Jo, Yoon Se Ah, Kim Hye Yoon, and Jung Yoo Jin also feature in the drama. The first episode of Snowdrop aired on December 18, 2021.
