There’s always a scope for improvements. Netflix’s biggest hit Red Notice is a big example of this. The American action-comedy that aired on the streaming platform on November 5, 2021, is set to return with a double dose of entertainment, and even better action, at least that’s what the reports suggest.
While sequels do fail to live up to the expectations of the audience every once in a while, with the Red Notice franchise, or, at least, an upcoming one, we can anticipate improvements to the movie.
If that leaves you wanting to know more, reportedly, Netflix is all set to prepare for a back-to-back shoot for Red Notice 2 and Red Notice 3. Rawson Marshall Thurber, the writer-director, revealed it in 2021. While that’s, actually, a big risk that the makers are opting for, it’s worth it, to say the least.
While the movie wasn’t showered with the best of critic reviews, it did go on to become Netflix’s most successful film ever.
What sets this film apart, except for its intriguing storyline is, undoubtedly, the star-studded cast of Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot who had managed to spread their charm all through.
Red Notice is Netflix’s most expensive movie
The hit film is, of course, the streamer’s most expensive movie to date with a budget that went as high as $200 million. This is why it did earn a fair amount of recognition and didn’t disappoint anyone involved in the process.
How many Red Notice movies are there?
As of now, there is only one Red Notice movie and that itself is a big hit. The future might see Red Notice 2 and Red Notice 3 in the making.
Red Notice 2 Probable Release Date
While Netflix is yet to officially announce the sequels of Red Notice, it won’t be wrong to say the film isn’t dropping, at least, till 2023, or even 2024. And rightly so because good things take time. Also, as per Deadline, the shoot for Red Notice 2 and Red Notice 3 might begin in early 2023, which confirms the fact that we might have to hold our breaths and wait for another year, or so, to witness what better Red Notice 2 has on offer.
Red Notice 2 Expected Cast
If reports are to be believed, Red Notice 2 will rope in a new set of talented casts apart from the three big known faces. While there’s no clarity about it yet, given the busy schedules of the superstars it’s safe to assume, they might or they might not return to the franchise. Nonetheless, it will, of course, going to be a starry affair.
Red Notice 2 Expected Plot
There are no specifics on where the plot will go next, but Thurber is believed to be working on the scripts for the next two movies.
FBI profiler Rusty, played by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, must work with the world’s most wanted art thief Gal Gadot and an infamous conman portrayed by Ryan Reynolds in Red Notice, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
It’s the end of Red Notice when Booth, The Bishop, and Hartley team up to prepare for the biggest heist of their lives at the Louvre museum in Paris (but are they after the Mona Lisa?).
The ending of Red Notice definitely leaves the room, and even set up a premise, for an even more intriguing plot for Red Notice 2 and Red Notice 3. It will be interesting to see how the story unfolds in the upcoming movies, if and when they release.
However, the film might need a little more character development and a tinge of extra action, or maybe not, to grab even more eyeballs and make the sequels hit, if not more.
