Actor Oscar Issac is all set to play the new marvel character in the upcoming Disney+ series Moon Knight. The newest trailer released by Marvel shows the actor clad up for his new venture.

According to Variety.com, the new trailer that was recently released has marked the onset of Marvel’s 2022 expedition. Moon Knight is a completely new story with varied characters and a new plotline. Since Moon Knight does not have a relation to any existing character of Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans all across the world are excited to embrace the new inclusion.

The show will be Marvel’s second year in making TV series for Disney. Hawke and May Calamawy also co-star in Moon Knight. The series is directed by Mohamed Diab and co-written by Jeremy Slater. The series will premiere on March 30 and till then fans can expect a few more sneak-peeks from Marvel making the anticipation even higher.

Moon Knight Plot

The story of Moon Knight is taken from the famous comic by marvel written by Doug Moench and artist Don Perlin. The main character of the series is named Marc Spector who first appeared in the Werewolf by Night comic series.

Outside of comic books, the character has appeared in animated television programmes and video games. Wizard magazine listed the figure as the 149th best comic book character of all time. Moon Knight was also named the 89th-greatest comic book character by IGN, who described him as “just the notion of what might happen if Batman had dissociative identity disorder,” and Number 49 in their list of the “Top 50 Avengers.”

In the latest trailer, the protagonist, Marc Spector, is seen as a former soldier who suffers from severe dissociative identity disorder and presents himself as two separate people. Marc’s uneasiness over his mental disorder is exacerbated when he becomes the conduit for the Egyptian moon deity Khonshu.

The trailer shows how Marc is unable to differentiate between his dreams and reality and finds ways to not fall asleep to elope the danger of doing something wrong in his dreams. He tries playing with the Rubik’s cube, chains himself to the bend, only to later frantically jump out of the bed and forget that he had tied himself to prevent going back to his dreams.

Marc experiences a vision of Khonshu after exploring an ancient Egypt museum and subsequently encounters Ethan Hawke’s villain, a cult leader who pushes Marc to explore the abyss inside himself.

Marc is engulfed by the Moon Knight suit at the end of the trailer, with a view of him savagely punching someone in the face on a restroom floor.

Marvel is known for its extravagant movies and especially notorious trailers which leave fans on the edge and stuck on a cliffhanger just to know what happens next.
