Are celebrities even celebrities without their fans? The answer is a no. After all, there’s a reason why we say that audience is the best judge. While some celebrities do take their fans for granted, there are some who are ready to walk the extra mile for their fans. A case in point is Adele.
Recently, Adele was all set to perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on January 21, 2022, but an extreme last-minute announcement to postpone the concert came as a shocker for her fans.
The singer left a note near her merchandise store written with lipstick on a mirror. “Hi guys! I’m so upset to not be with you tonight. But I know some of you are here already so please hang out and look at the outfits, take pics of anything you want. Of yourselves and with each other! “There’s people in the room I worked with on the store and the merch. There’s members of my management in here too to show you around,” the note read.
The singer also put an offer on her merchandise store in which a free gift for every ticker holder was proffered on several outfits that were on display, in reference to this she stated, “And any of you in here who were due to come to the shows this weekend can have a gift on me! I’m so sorry again.”
Why did Adele postpone her tour?
The Las Vegas tour was cancelled temporarily because of rising COVID cases.
Adele’s Sin City residency tour was all scheduled and was starting from January 21, 2022, to July 2, 2022. Adele was planning to sing her new album hits like Easy On Me. In an Instagram video, the singer announced the postponement and she was looking upset. She went on to apologise to her fans and viewers for such short notice cancellation. She promised to reschedule all her missed residency dates.

“Half my crew, half my team are down with COVID. They still are, and it’s been impossible to finish the show,” she expressed. “And I can’t give you what I have right now. And I’m gutted. I’m gutted. And I’m sorry it’s so last-minute. We’ve been awake for over 30 hours now trying to figure it out and… we’ve run out of time.” she added.
Adele video called fans who still showed up for her cancelled Vegas show
Adele FaceTimed her fans who still showed up for her cancelled Las Vegas residency but only a few lucky ones got the chance.
Fans shared videos and photos of their FaceTime with the singer on social media. They also shared their emotions and stood by the singer’s decision.

The singer also felt blessed with such reactions and support from her fans. She tweeted on Friday night about the same. “I have the best fans in the world!. Your graciousness and love tonight is overwhelming! Thank you,” the tweet read.
Caesars Palace also gave a statement in support of Adele’s tour postponement. “We understand the disappointment surrounding the postponement of WEEKENDS WITH ADELE. Adele is an incredible artist, supremely dedicated to her music and her fans. Creating a show of this magnitude is incredibly complex. We fully support Adele and are confident the show she unveils at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace will be extraordinary.”
As Adele mentioned the tour will be rescheduled soon. All the fans are waiting for the announcement, however, no official dates are announced yet.
