Jorja Fox quits CBS’ crime drama CSI: Vegas

On Tuesday, January 25, actress Jorja Fox announced on Twitter her exit from the series of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Vegas. She used to play Sara in the show and recently, addressed to fans and revealed that her decision was very deliberate. The actress expressed her love for the show and also said that show is all about love where people can find love in the darkest times of their life.

“I have decided not to ‘Sidle up’ for CSI Vegas,” she wrote. “For me, CSI has always been a love story. The story that people can find love in the darkest of places and times. And the story that love, even in the darkest of places and times, can expand and grow roots and endure. I personally just can’t split Sara and Grissom up again.” Fox tweeted.

The news came after a month when it was announced that William Peterson, her co-star, and was opposite Fox on the show, that will be no return for the second season. Peterson only approved to rekindle his Gil Grissom character for only one season for the same the actress commented, “So goes Grissom…..So goes Sara,” she tweeted. “Wherever they go, they belong together.”

As the actress has taken off from the show, she further encourages the viewers to keep watching the show CSI. “CSI: Vegas has an incredible team and it should be an amazing show!” the actress stated in her tweet.

The CBS’ Executive Vice President of Current Program Amy Reisenbach commented about the show and praised the team and cast for doing great work and further added that the show is portraying the CSI brilliantly with new stories. “The incredibly talented CSI: Vegas creative team and cast did a superb job this first season, brilliantly updating and portraying the CSI universe with fresh stories and a new crime lab, proving that after 20 years, the CSI fan base is still hungry for more and ready to embrace a new chapter in this illustrious franchise,” Amy Reisenbach commented in December

After Jorja Fox and William Peterson’s departure from the show, the unforgettable cast of the show includes Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mandeep Dhillon, Mel Rodriguez, and Jason Tracey.

The show will be coming up with its season 2 during 2022-2023 and you can watch the first season on Hulu Plus or Paramount+.
