Tall Girl 2 will be available on Netflix very soon, and the streaming provider has already released a trailer for the rom-com sequel.
The first film may have been a bone of contention for critics, but that didn’t stop it from being a Netflix blockbuster, with over 41 million views in its first four weeks. As Jodi tackles a new obstacle, the sequel will bring back some of your favorite characters from the original film.
The audience reaction to the first movie made the production house go for a part two and soon the fans will be able to have the taste of their patience.

When is Tall Girl 2 coming out?
Tall Girl 2 will be available on Netflix on Friday, February 11 at 3 am EST in the US and 8 a.m. UK time.
The sequel was shot between April 12 and May 5, 2021, and it will be released on Netflix a little over two years after the original film, which was released in September 2019 and is still accessible to view.
Tall Girl 2 takes up the February 2020 and February 2021 Valentine’s Day slots previously occupied by the To All the Boys sequels. Netflix will be hoping it is as successful as previous films.

Tall Girl 2 Cast: Who’s returning for the sequel?
Ava Michelle will make her return as the titular tall girl, Jodi Kreyman, and at the beginning of the production, the video announced that she’ll be accompanied by other cast members from the original film.
Griffin Gluck reprises his role as Jodi’s now-boyfriend Jack Dunkleman, while Luke Eisner reprises his role as Stig Mohlin, Jodi’s past love interest. Sabrina Carpenter, Steve Zahn, and Angela Kinsey all return to r their roles as Jodi’s sister Harper and their parents.
Anjelika Washington reprises her role as Jodi’s best friend Fareeda, and Clara Wilsey and Rico Paris reprise their roles as Jodi’s bullies Kimmy and Schnipper, respectively.
Johanna Liauw, who portrays Stig’s sister Stella, and Jan Luis Castellanos, who plays Tommy, a possible competitor for Jodi’s affection, are among the additions to the cast.
Jan Luis Castellanos, who will play Tommy Torres, is one of the new faces we’ll see in the sequel. Jan is arguably most recognized for his performance as Diego Torres in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why.
Stella will be played by Johanna Liauw, who has previously acted in Quarantine Leap and Crossbow Creek.
Tall Girl 2 Storyline: What is the plot?
Along with the teaser and release date, we now have an official description for Tall Girl 2 that explains how the sequel follows the events of the original film.
“Jodi is no longer just the ‘tall girl’ after her inspiring speech at the homecoming dance — she’s popular, confident, has a boyfriend, and recently landed the main role in this year’s school musical,” it says.
“However, as the strain of her newfound fame mounts, so do her vulnerabilities, and new connections emerge while old ones are put to the test. Jodi finds that standing tall was only the beginning as the world she crafted begins to unravel around her.”
Jodi’s position in the musical draws her to Tommy’s notice, which poses a new hurdle for her blossoming relationship with Jack, according to the teaser. In contrast to the previous film, we hope the sequel avoids making Jack too frightening.
Despite how weird Jack is in the previous film, Jodi finally realizes that Stig (who she had been seeing) isn’t all he’s made up to be, leaving him at the homecoming dance after making a speech about her newfound self-confidence.
Jodi kissed Jack as he disclosed that the reason he always brought a milk crate around was so he could kiss her while standing on it.
Production
Netflix announced Sam Wolfson as the writer for a Tall Girl 2 on December 1, 2020, with Ava Michelle reprising her role as Jodi.
Principal photography in New Orleans, Louisiana, began on April 12, 2021, and ended on May 21, 2021. On February 11, 2022, the film is set to be released. On January 19, 2022, a trailer for the series was uploaded on YouTube.
Filming was scheduled to begin in mid-April 2021 and end in late May 2021.
Like the original film, the sequel was shot entirely in New Orleans, with McG, Mary Viola, Steven Bello, and Corey Marsh serving as executive producers.
Ava Michelle later verified this on social media, adding that the sequel is presently in production.
