The series will star Will Arnett as Terry Seattle who is a strange detective who is given a task to team up with all the clueless celebrity guests to solve a new murder. You have also seen Arnett playing the role of Gob Bluth on Arrested Development and also giving his voice in the Netflix animated series Bojack Horseman and as Batman in The Lego Movie. He is also seen in a crime show where he was a suspect in a case, Law & Order: Special Victims, in 2002. You will also see Haneefah Wood as Chief Rhonda Jenkins-Seattle, Lilan Bowden as Amber Kang, and Phillip Smithey as Det, Darren “Daz” Phillips.

The crime show will work as the case of the week in each episode. The show will fling the celebrity guest to take out some clues and solve the mystery case. Every episode will be having a star guest and will be not given any script. Detective Terry and the star will improvise through the case.

The official synopsis given by Netflix is “Eccentric detective Terry Seattle teams up with clueless celebrity guest stars to investigate a series of murders in this improvisational crime comedy.”

The upcoming series is based on BBC Three sitcom Murder in Successville. The show aired between May 2015 and May 2017.
