Welcome to the 90s!
That ‘90s Show, a spin-off of That ’70s Show, is coming to Netflix, created by the original series creators, Bonnie and Terry Turner.
The original series aired on Fox for eight seasons from 1998 to 2006. The sitcom followed a group of teenage friends living in a fictitious Wisconsin town as they hang out, party, and debate their lives and loves at the Formans’ basement.
Here’s the official description:
“Hello, Wisconsin! It’s 1995 and Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting her grandparents for the summer where she bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red. Sex, drugs and rock ’n roll never dies, it just changes clothes.”

It’s unknown if Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, or Wilmer Valderrama will return to That ’90s Show, but a few other characters aren’t anticipated to return for a variety of reasons.
Given that we’ll be seeing Eric and Donna’s daughter in the series, it’s possible that Prepon and Grace may return, but this has yet to be formally confirmed.
“Fez will never happen again,” Valderrama stated, in a 2016 interview with People. And he isn’t the only one who has slammed the concept of a reboot.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly the same year, Kutcher said, “That ’70s Show is a nostalgic show. I think it was nostalgic as it was being made, and now it’s nostalgic for a different reason. And I just don’t know that anything that we’re going to do that would be new would be better than what we did. And when you run that risk, I think it’s better to leave things alone.”
Will That ‘70s show return to Netflix?
Netflix held the global streaming rights to That ‘70s Show for several years until relinquishing them in September 2020. Over a year later, the sitcom has yet to find a new streaming home, but given the release of That ‘90s Show, we may see Netflix relicense it.
How to watch That ‘90s Show?
The upcoming spin-off will be exclusively available on Netflix.
Why is it called That ‘90s Show?
The original series was set in the ’70s, and now the spin-off will take place in the 90s in the same Wisconsin town.
