*Season 2 Spoilers Ahead*
The infamous ‘diabolical’ boys are back in town!
After a mind-blowing finale to Season 2, The Boys is coming back for Season 3! Season 2 of Amazon Prime Video’s superhero drama The Boys took fans on a wild ride, elevating the characters, story, and show’s popularity to new heights.
There are plenty of dangling questions and mysteries from Seasons 1 and 2 that fans need to be answered. Season 2’s biggest reveal was the mystery-head popper Victoria Neuman, and all of us were left jaw-dropped! So, who is she? What does she want? No worries, Season 3 is coming and we’ve rounded up all the updates you need to know about the upcoming season right here.
When is The Boys Season 3 releasing?
The Boys Season 3 release date is officially set for June 3, 2022. The first three episodes will be released on that date, with the remaining five episodes following on Fridays and the season finale scheduled for July 8, 2022.
What can we expect from The Boys Season 3?
When asked about the upcoming season, Antony Starr, who plays Homelander, said in an interview, “All I can say is I truly believe the fans are going to freak out at season three… the payoff is going to be worth the wait.”
The The Boys Season 2 finale had a lot of plot threads about where the story may go in The Boys Season 3. The choice to keep Victoria Neuman’s abilities a secret until the end suggests that she will play a major role in the tale next season, especially given that Hughie is working closely with her. As showrunner Eric Kripke, said, “I don’t want to say too much because there’s a certain mystery in season 3 about exactly why Victoria is doing what she’s doing, but yeah, I think the overall theme of the show is you need to have a healthy suspicion of your authority figures, and that goes for all of them.”

Meanwhile, Soldier Boy is getting ready to wreak havoc, and his comic novel past teases some really explicit stuff that will almost certainly be included in the TV version. As Eric Kripke confirmed on Twitter, the first episode of season 3 is called Payback. Soldier Boy’s entrance also signals the debut of another superhero team. Payback is the squad led by, at least in the comics, the second version of Soldier Boy, and has been dubbed the “second most popular superhero team” behind The Seven. Stormfront is also a member of this team, so her live-action counterpart is already connected with Soldier Boy from the TV show.
BIGGEST NEWS: Herogasm is on the way. Herogasm, an annual retreat for supes that is basically the wildest orgy possible, is one of the most infamous events in The Boys comic books. In January, Kripke revealed on Twitter that Herogasm would be the focus of Episode 6 of the forthcoming season. Jessica Chou is the writer for this episode.
During the first production meeting in April, Kripke provided a glimpse of his response to the episode on his Twitter. According to the episode titles and Kripke’s wild, wild social media captions, it’s going to be a violent and explicit journey for the supes in The Boys Season 3.
