Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from rapper Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) almost a year ago. But things got more serious recently. Kim, who seemed really calm about the whole situation yesterday, posted a public note calling out her estranged husband Ye’s constant attacks on her and her family.
On Friday, the rapper shared a screenshot of their daughter North taken from the TikTok account that she shares with Kim on Instagram, where he wrote:
‘Since this is my first divorce I need to know what should I do about my daughter being put on TikTok against my will?’

The mother-daughter duo launched their TikTok account this past November. Since then, they’ve uploaded a dozen videos together.
Kim responded via an Instagram story in which she blasted her ex for “attacking” her, saying the supervised TikTok account brings North “happiness.” and it is his constant attacks that are “actually more hurtful” than anything that might happen on TikTok.
“As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision—because it brings her happiness,” Kim shared with her 284 million followers. “Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all.” she wrote.

In another Instagram post, Kanye shared TikTok’s Guardian’s Guide for signing up for the app.
“To sign up for TikTok, you must first pass through an age-gate to get you into the right TikTok experience,” it reads. “In the US, if you’re under 13 years old, you’ll be placed into our TikTok for Younger Users experience which has additional privacy and safety protections designed specifically for this audience. If we learn that a person under the age of 13 is using or posting content on TikTok without using TikTok for Younger Users, they will be removed.“
This is not the first time Kanye has said something like this so publicly. It all began when Kanye professed his love for Kim by telling everyone who would listen that he wanted to get back together with Kim. But Kim, who certainly isn’t on the same page, began dating Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson while Kanye continued to make public comments about Kim. That’s also when things began to take a serious, shady, and now ugly turn. Following their dating rumours, Kanye appeared out of nowhere with his new girlfriend, Julia Fox, and made his newfound love extremely public.
Kim and Kanye married on May 24, 2014, and divorced in February of this year after Kardashian filed for divorce. Her response is a clear sign, given she rarely responds to anything on social media about her personal life, that she is done with Kanye and their marriage. In closing, Kim expressed her hope that Kanye West will “finally respond to the third attorney he has had in the last year to resolve any issues amicably.”
