Rebel Wilson all set to go back to high school with Senior Year on Netflix

Senior Year, starring Rebel Wilson, is coming to Netflix soon, and we’ve got all the details!

Senior Year is an American comedy film directed by Alex Hardcastle based on an original screenplay by Andrew Knauer, Arthur Pielli, and Brandon Scott Jones. Hardcastle has previously directed fan-favorite episodes of sitcoms such as Parks And Recreation, You’re The Worst, and Grace And Frankie.

Senior Year Plot

The film follows a 37-year-old woman (Rebel Wilson) who awakens from a 20-year coma and returns to her old high school in the hopes of reclaiming her popularity as a cheerleader and winning prom queen.

In a press release, Wilson described the movie as, “the wildly funny love child of Bring It On and Never Been Kissed.”

Wilson was last seen in the movie, Cats in 2019. She is making her comeback in 2022 as the lead character, Stephanie Conway in the humorous Senior Year. She is also participating as a producer on the film, with Todd Garner, Timothy M. Bourne, and Chris Bender, as well as executive producers Jeremy Stein and Jake Wagner.

Wilson is a Melbourne-based performer, columnist, novelist, vocalist, and creator. After graduating from the Australian Cinema for Kids and Teens in 2003, Wilson began her career as Toula in the SBS sketch show Pizza. In the comedic series The Crescent, she made cameo appearances.

She wrote, generated, and co-starred in Bogan Pride, a melodic sketch show. After returning to America, Wilson made a brief appearance in the comedies Flower Girls and A Little Under Top Guys in 2011.

She is best known for her role as the hilarious and confident Fat Amy in the Pitch Perfect Franchise.
