Inspired by real events, the British period drama tells the story of the Shelby crime family and their exploits in the 1920s. Cillian Murphy plays Thomas Shelby, a sharp and cunning criminal. The show has a reputation for meticulous attention to detail. The fact that it hooks you and transfers you to post-war England in a seamless manner is what makes this program binge-worthy. In a short amount of time, Peaky Blinders has developed a devoted fan base.

Though there isn’t an exact release date yet, it has been confirmed that Season 6 of Peaky Blinders will air in the UK in February 2022 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The network officially announced the season’s premiere towards the end of January, including in advertisements that were shown in UK theaters. It is unknown when the episodes will be made available on Netflix internationally.

What is the plot for Peaky Blinders Season 6?

In the finale episode of Season 5, we witnessed the boldest cliffhanger in the history of Peaky Blinders. The ending of Mr. Jones sets the stage for many plot threads for Peaky Blinders Season 6. The biggest question for season 6 is who deceived Tommy and caused his grand plan to kill Oswald Mosley to fail.

It ended with Aberma Gold dead and Tommy putting a gun to his head at the end of the episode. The new season will take us up to 1934. Furthermore, we are also hoping to see more of Gina’s influential American family as well as people from Oswald Mosley’s social circle. 

The first episode of season six is titled Black Day.

All we can say about Season 6 is that, when asked about season 6 of Peaky Blinders, Cillian Murphy described it as “Dark as f***” in an interview with Esquire.

Who is in the cast of Peaky Blinders Season 6? Will Cilian Murphy return?

Despite the ending of Season 5 and how things went wrong for Thomas Shelby, Cillian Murphy will be back as Thomas Shelby in season 5. The plot will continue from where it left off, with Cillian Murphy reprising his role as Tommy Shelby, Paul Anderson reprising his role as Arthur Shelby, Finn Cole reprising his role as Michael Gray, and Sophie Rundle reprising her role as Ada Thorne and Anya Taylor-Joy’s Gina Gray.

According to the teasers of upcoming episodes, Claflin will make his return as fascist politician Moseley, while Tom Hardy will reprise his role as Tommy’s longtime rival, Alfie Solomons.

James Frenchville, Rebecca Keatley and Black Mirror actress Amber Anderson are also joining the final season of Peaky Blinders.

So it is certainly possible to see some familiar faces in Peaky Blinders Season 6.

On New Year’s Day 2022, the BBC released a whole trailer for Peaky Blinders Season 6. The trailer teases some epic action as Tommy once again prepares to take down Mosley.
