When is The Witcher: Blood Origin coming to Netflix? Check latest updates

The Witcher: Blood Origin

Some of us love reading, while others don’t. This is when shows scripted on real books come to the rescue. Even if you are not an avid reader, you can taste the stories from the original books and get to know what was the craze for them all about. So, if you loved watching Bridgerton, which was based on Julia Quinn’s novel, here’s another series based on the book by Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher: Blood Origin.

The action-adventure packed series is all set to drop on Netflix, and here’s everything you need to know about it.

The Witcher: Blood Origin release date

The Witcher: Blood Origin is all set to release on Netflix anytime in 2022. Netflix earlier said that the show will stream in 2021 but it didn’t happen. So, we can expect the series to make its debut sometime this year and it has to be one of the best shows of 2022 on Netflix.

The production of the series was wrapped in November 2021, as per reports.

A point to note is that The Witcher was released in December 2019, so we can expect the sequel in December 2022, at least.

It was announced in July 2020 by Netflix that the series will be coming up with six part miniseries prequel. The filming began in August 2021 in United Kingdom and is directed by Sarah O’Gorman and Vicky Jewson.
