The Internet is obsessed with two TV shows this year so far, Euphoria and Yellowjackets. We’d always known about Euphoria, but Showtime’s Yellowjackets came out of the blue and became our latest obsession! After a somewhat successful premiere at the end of 2021, the spooky show became a cultural obsession over the course of its 10-episode first season, with every episode and frame analyzed on Twitter, Instagram, and Reddit forums.

Is there a Yellowjackets Season 2?
Big YES. The Yellowjackets was renewed for Season 2 in mid-December 2021 before even finishing airing Season 1. The even bigger news is that the show creators have said that they have a five-season plan for Yellowjackets!

When will Yellowjackets Season 2 release?
There is no production start date as of yet. The predictions say we could get Yellowjackets Season 2 around the same time as last year when we saw Season 1, which is late 2022.
Who’s the cast for Yellowjacket Season 2? Will Jackie return?
One of the many reasons why we are so obsessed with Yellowjackets is the show’s unpredictability. This also means it’s hard to predict which of the characters will return for season 2. Since Jackie dies in the finale, it’s highly unlikely to expect her to return to the show. But hey, this is the Yellowjackets we’re talking about! A few flashbacks featuring Jackie don’t hurt, right?
As of now, we can expect the return of series regulars, Melanie Lynskey as Shauna, Tawny Cypress as Taissa, Juliette Lewis as Natalie, Christina Ricci as Misty, and Warren Kole as Jeff.

Yellowjackets feeds on its secrets and mysteries, keeping the audience wondering throughout the show. This is especially true of the season one finale, which only gave us a few answers to the many burning questions that had arisen. The biggest question is regarding the identity of the Antler Queen.
A lot of weird things happened in the wilderness of Season 1. When will it all come to light? What is the meaning of the Yellowjackets’ symbol? Who on earth is Lottie Matthews and is she evil? The other two-face is Taissa! This final episode signals a turning point in how the two Taissas co-exist. There are a lot of plot threads left behind in Season 1 for the plot of Season 2. We’ll just have to wait patiently. Meanwhile, you can carry on with your pagan sacrifices for a faster return of the Yellowjackets.
