The third film in the Fantastic Beasts Series will certainly answer some of the burning questions we’ve all had since last seeing Grindelwald and Albus Dumbledore in The Crimes of Grindelwald in 2018. It has been a long wait for Harry Potter fans to learn when Fantastic Beasts 3 will hit theaters, and we’re delighted to inform you that the next chapter isn’t far away. Warner Bros. officially disclosed the title, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, in September 2021, along with a new release date.

When is Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore movie release?
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will be released on April 15, 2022, in the United States and on April 8, 2022, in the United Kingdom. It will have been more than three years since The Crimes of Grindelwald was released in theatres by the time the new installment is released.

Who will be in the cast of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore? Will Johnny Depp return?
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will return with all of our favorite characters from the franchise.
Eddie Redmayne stars as Newt Scamander, Jude Law appears as Albus Dumbledore, and Mads Mikkelsen plays Gellert Grindelwald, Katherine Waterston plays Tina Goldstein, Dan Fogler appears as Jacob Kowalski, Alison Sudol plays Queenie Goldstein, Ezra Miller appears as Credence Barebone, Callum Turner plays Theseus Scamander, William Nadylam plays Yusuf Kama, and Jessica Williams appears as Professor Eulalie “Lally” Hicks.
Oliver Masucci, Richard Coyle, and Maria Fernanda Cândido are part of the newly expanded cast. Mads Mikkelsen will replace Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald. As a result of a libel suit against a British tabloid accusing Depp of being a wife-beater, Warner Bros asked him to quit the series.
What’s the plot of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore?
In The Crimes of Grindelwald, it was revealed that Dumbledore and Grindelwald have a blood-pact that prevents them from dueling. But if you’ve read or seen the Harry Potter films, you will be familiar with the “greatest wizarding duel of all time” between Dumbledore and Grindelwald, which led to Dumbledore earning the status of greatest wizard ever lived. Fantastic Beasts 3 will see Grindelwald growing in power, compelling Dumbledore to take desperate measures. Dumbledore appoints Newt Scamander and his small squad to halt the dark wizard’s evil scheme before it is carried out.

“Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?”

In December 2021, Warner Bros. finally released the highly anticipated trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. “If you listen carefully enough, the past whispers to you,” Dumbledore says in the trailer.
