Jurassic World Dominion: Universal Pictures drops first trailer of the most-anticipated dino action movie

Jurassic World Dominion

The trailer for Jurassic World Dominion, the final chapter to the Jurassic World trilogy, has been released by Universal studios. Starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, Jeff Goldblum, Daniella Pineda, Isabella Sermon, Justice Smith, Omar Sy, and BD Wong reprising their roles from previous films in the franchise, and joined by Mamoudou Athie, Scott Haze, Dichen Lachman, Campbell Scott, and DeWanda Wise, Dominion takes us to an enthralling tour around the world and gives ‘out of the world’ action sequences like car chases but instead of cars chasing cars, here dinos would be the ones chasing the cars and bikes.

The trailer does look exciting and gives us a sneak peek into what might the final chapter of Jurassic World franchise holds for us. Dinosaurs, more dinosaurs and some more dinosaurs, that’s what the trailer promises us. The whole dino-human chase looks exciting, thrilling and terrifying.

The epic conclusion of the Jurassic Park series brings most of the initial cast back, especially the trio consisting of Dr. Ellie Sattler, Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ian Malcolm alongside the new heroes. The original heroes make a comeback after their last appearance in Jurassic Park III. The ‘dark’ Dr. Henry Wu is featured too but we are not sure if this time he’s with the good guys or he will choose to continue being evil.

According to the ending of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the dinosaurs were released in the wild in order to give them a more natural habitat to survive in. As the new trailer shows the dinosaurs in multiple cities of the world and Dominion is set after four years of the events of Fallen Kingdom, it seems like humankind to some extent learnt to live alongside the scaly creatures. The director and co-writer, Colin Trevorrow brings a whole set of the previously beloved dinosaurs and new kinds of dinos namely Atrociraptor, Therizinosaurus, Carnotaurus etc.

After dinosaurs being an integral part of the world, how to contain them is not the question, the question is what can humans do in order to co-dependently survive without endangering themselves.

Director Trevorrow stressed on the use of animatronic dinosaurs along with high-tech CGI, in order to make the scaly beings’ presence feel more real to the viewers as well as the cast while working on it.

In order to promote the upcoming movie and its central theme of human-dino coexistence, an unrelated clip was released in collaboration with Winter Olympics where a skier, while going down a mountain encounters a small raptor and gets scared to some extent but gets terrified to her nerves when she sees a T-rex emerging from the trees.

The clip had no connection to the original movie but was released to implant the movie’s impending release in the minds of the viewers.

As said by Claire in Jurassic World, “consumers want bigger, louder and more teeth”, in Dominion Trevorrow gives them exactly what they want. For the final time on June 10, 2022, Welcome to Jurassic World.
