What will Russian Doll Season 2 be about?
Russian Doll Season 2 is much-awaited, all are curious to find out what will the new season be all about. Lyonne gave a small hint about the plot, she revealed that the new episodes will start after a gap of four years where the first season ended. She mentioned the upcoming season as a “puzzle box” and said, “It’s definitely a wild ride. It is deep, and deeply off-the-wall.” As per EW, “the duo discover a fate even worse than dying over and over when they must sift through their pasts via an unexpected time portal located in one of Manhattan’s most iconic locales.”
Lyonne also hinted that there could be many interpretations of the characters, she said, “It raises the question of how many versions [of the characters] are there altogether? That’s certainly something that was considered. In this video game sense, it presents a question of do they in fact just enter a whole new sort of scenario at that moment, that they kind of completed that round?”

“Set four years after Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) and Alan (Charlie Barnett) escaped mortality’s time loop together, season two of Russian Doll will continue to explore existential thematics through an often humorous and sci-fi lens. Discovering a fate even worse than endless death, this season finds Nadia and Alan delving deeper into their pasts through an unexpected time portal located in one of Manhattan’s most notorious locations. At first, they experience this as an ever-expanding, era-spanning, intergenerational adventure but they soon discover this extraordinary event might be more than they bargained for and, together, must search for a way out.”
