Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: New trailer and poster released; Fans keen on picking up ‘Strange’ hints

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

A new trailer of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been released and it somewhat gives an idea of the dangers Doctor Strange is going to deal with. The first trailer was launched a month ago, following which the second trailer teases the alliances Strange forms and the travel and adventures in the multiverse in order to survive and restraining the world from collapsing.

The new trailer gives a deeper overview of the plot than the first trailer. As Doctor Strange has been constantly messing around with the multiverse dynamics, the multiverse starts to collapse and no one has any idea of who and what can travel through the portals. In order to prevent the reality from collapsing, Doctor Strange contacts Wanda who goes by the name of Scarlet Witch.

However, it seems like she would become an antagonist as well, as both Scarlet and Doctor Strange tried manipulating the multiverse in the ends of WandaVision and Spiderman: No Way Home respectively, but Scarlet was painted in a darker picture than Strange. Strange will also take help of someone who’s capable of jumping through dimensions, America Chavez.

The trailer introduces us to multiple unexpected humans and ‘non-humans’ like a giant squid like creature, an evil version of Doctor Strange and Karl Mordo who thinks Strange’s magic is the reason of all the chaos and he needs to eliminate as many threats as he can using that very magic. Doctor Strange and multiverse of Madness is creating quite a stir among the Marvel fans across the world and no wonder why everyone is being so impatient for the movie to be on theatres.

After the trailer dropped, lots of fans scanned it with microscopic eyes and came out with conclusions regarding Iron Man’s appearance in the upcoming film. Fans spotted Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange being taken as a prisoner by Ultron bots. In the comics and the films, Ultron is a creation of Tony Stark. This led many to deduce that a comic book version of Iron Man–called Superior Iron Man–may be seen in the film, with Tom portraying him.

Along with the trailer, a new poster was also released on the official Twitter handle of the Marvel Studios.

In the poster, Benedict Cumberbatch is rocking a new costume trying to tame the multiverse which is shattering the reality around him. In the shards of broken glass, one can see different versions of the characters involves like Wanda, Wang, Baron Mordo and Strange himself.  There are multiple speculations and theories going on revolving the poster and the trailer, they don’t really provide a lot of information regarding what all can happen.  Along with multiple heroes, director Sam Raimi is also making a comeback as a Marvel movie director after 15 years Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is all set to release in theatres on May 6, 2022.
