No one expected Tokyo Revengers’ season one to end like that. We felt a rollercoaster of emotions at the finale of the first season. So, what’s next for Takemichi Hanegaki and Hina?
Tokyo Revengers, based on the manga by Ken Wakui, dominated the Spring 2021 anime season. It tells the classic revenge story of Takemichi Hanagaki, a 26-year-old loafer with no serious ambitions, and what happens after he learns that his high-school love, Hina, was murdered by gang violence. When Takemichi shakes hands with Hina’s younger brother Naoto, he is sent back in time 12 years to when he was in high school. The boy is thus able to remedy his hated life and the events that led to the death of his old girlfriend.
The first season, with 24 episodes, premiered in Japan in April 2021. The first season finale of Tokyo Revengers left a lot of burning questions that fans have been asking since the finale premiered on September 19, 2021. Another piece of news for the fans is the launch of a Tokyo Revengers mobile game, which will be available on both Android and iOS devices. The team has also posted a link to the game on the Tokyo Revengers‘ official website. As Season 2 has been officially confirmed, Takemichi, Ken, Sano, Baji, Hanemiya, and Kisaki will all return for Season 2.
Here’s everything you need to know about Tokyo Revengers Season 2:
When will Tokyo Revengers Season 2 release?

Tokyo Revengers plot: What to expect?
Ken Wakui published the latest volume of the manga in Japan on December 17, 2021, which makes a total of 25 volumes and 235 chapters. Season 1 adapted roughly up until volume 8, chapter 73 of the manga series. The big battle between the Tokyo Manji gang and the 10th Generation of Black Dragons is featured in this arc.
Season 2 will follow up on the events of season one. It’ll most likely adapt the Christmas Showdown arc from the manga. In Season 1 of Tokyo Revengers, Takemichi falls again for Hina, making her death all the more tragic each time he fails to save her. So, after all of his tribulations, Takemichi returns to the present, certain that he has finally saved her. But his fantasy is abruptly destroyed when Hina is murdered right in front of his eyes. Hina is crushed while waiting for Takemichi to return in their car when a much larger vehicle slams into theirs. The most shocking thing about all of these events was the person who was behind the wheel, Akkun. Having now seen Hina die directly in front of him along with his life in jeopardy, Takemichi is now more motivated to go back and save her, no matter what it takes.
