Vampire Academy: Everything we know so far

Vampire Academy

From The Vampire Diaries to The Originals and Legacies, the love for vampires is never ending. People love to watch the blood craving vampires who, at times, are charming, crush worthy and something different from how we imagine vampires look like. So, if you are also a vampire fan, or at least, a fan of that genre, we have a good news for you. Julie Plec, creator of The Vampire Diaries and its spin-offs, is now working on Vampire Academy, which looks like the next big hit in the Vampireverse

“When I signed my new deal with Universal Television, they asked what project I had always been dying to make and my immediate answer was Vampire Academy,” Plec told TVLine.

Here is everything you need to know about Vampire Academy:

Vampire Academy Plot

The upcoming series is based on Richelle Mead’s YA novel of the same name and this is the first of six books that will be seen in the upcoming show. Plec mentioned the books and said to EW, “I read them before Vampire Diaries came into my world and just really enjoyed the series and always thought, ‘Gosh, one day I’d really love to work on a show like this.”

She further explained the plot of the upcoming show, “It’s a story about two young women who have been friends since the sandbox. As they grow up and get closer to entering real society, what society dictates about what their roles are supposed to be threatens to put a wedge in the success of their friendship.”

The history follows Rose Hathaway, a half-human half-vampire teen who is a “bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess”.

She added that the show would be a modern addition of Bridgerton with vampires, “I thought, ‘This is modern-day Bridgerton with vampires. Who’s not going to want to see that?”

We expect the show will be a hit just like the other shows of Julie Plec. If you have been waiting for a trailer, it’s too early to ask for it as the show is still in the works. We will keep you updated about the show’s new revelations.
