The Last Duel tells the story of Jean de Carrouges (Matt Damon), a knight who confronts his old friend and squire, Jacques Le Gris (Adam Driver) in a duel when Jean’s wife Marguerite (Jodie Comer) accuses the latter of rape. The story is divided into three chapters, showcasing the perspectives of three main characters. The film bombed on the box office yet the was critically acclaimed and the performance of the cast and production values were praised.

The film became a hit due to the chemistry and comic timing of Cooper, Helms and Galifianakis and not just relying on cliché punch lines or unnecessary jokes. What makes it a must-watch are the disastrous situation the trio finds itself in and the way they kind of portrayed, “When life gives you lemons, make it into a lemonade”.
The Great Gatsby (2013)

The Shawshank Redemption (1994)

The Shawshank Redemption is undoubtedly one of the best movies of all time. The story revolves around a banker Andy who gets falsely convicted of murdering his wife and her lover and has to serve two life sentences. However, over the time, he befriends a fellow prisoner, contraband smuggler Ellis “Red” Redding, and becomes pivotal in a money-laundering operation led by the prison warden Samuel Norton due to his expertise in the matter. The film tells his story at Shawshank and constantly make us wonder the extent of his innocence.
