Talk about a successful acting career post a fantastic wrestling career? Well you are guessing it right! We are talking about John Cena. Cena has a long history of juggling between wrestling and acting but he has been pretty successful in the acting realm as well. Making his debut as an actor back in the mid 2000, he has been critically acclaimed for his action roles.
John Cena is now enjoying the popularity of his just released show Peacemaker. James Gunn devised the American television series, which is a spin-off of the 2021 film The Suicide Squad.
The star of Vacation Friends is poised to appear in a live-action-animated film based on one of the classic animation franchise Looney Tunes’ most popular characters. John Cena has signed a deal to feature in Looney Tunes: Coyote vs. Acme, a spinoff of the popular cartoon series. Wile E. Coyote from the Warner Bros. program will be at the center of the plot. The actor recently discussed his involvement in the film.
John Cena discusses his various roles
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, actor John Cena discussed his forthcoming film Looney Tunes: Coyote vs. Acme. He stated, “Man, I’m very fortunate because it’s a different role for me, so I can’t wait.”
He goes on to say that Peacemaker was a very different job for him, and that he is pleased that Warner Bros. hired him. In addition, he says, “I’m able to do a smaller film called The Independent, which is a different role for me, and Peacemaker has been an entirely different role for me. A lot of audience members have a different perspective of what I can offer and that’s a really tough hill to climb. Coyote vs. Acme is one of those situations. I’m really happy that Warner Bros. gave me another opportunity to be involved with something that.”
He added, “Like I said, it’s a different role for me and hopefully it will have the same result as Peacemaker, it will be a chance to hone my craft on something a little different. I’m really excited for it.” He finished of by saying, “I’m definitely looking forward to it.”
For the uninitiated, the film is directed by Dave Green, and John Cena is cast as the CEO of a law company. For those of you who don’t know Cena is a rapper in addition to his wrestling and acting profession. He sang Basic Thuganomics, his sixth WWE theme song, which was included on the WWE Originals soundtrack CD. He also recorded Untouchables for WWE ThemeAddict: The Music, Vol. 6, the company’s next soundtrack album. Along with Murs, E-40, and Chingo Bling, he worked on a remix for the song H-U-S-T-L-E.
